Agriturismo Campanacci

The four-course dinners were some of the best food we had in Italy, simple homemade dishes for an amazing price, 30€ per person with wine. Marco and his team make the place feel like home. The house has a lived-in feel and all the amenities you need, and the peaceful property looks out over the rolling Appenine hills.

It’s easy to feel at home here, maybe even more so than on vacation. Campanacci Agriturismo sits among fields and carefully kept gardens, and inside there’s lovely antique furniture, ceramics, paintings, and more. The hosts and staff are thoughtful and courteous. Breakfast is included, with plenty of tasty food, and it’s well worth staying for lunch or dinner too. People travel from far away to eat the owners’ dishes, made with the best local ingredients. The cooking is wonderful, as are the wines. There’s also free parking, good Wi-Fi, and pets are welcome. What else could you ask for? :)

The setting in the Emilia-Romagna countryside was amazing, and the stay was great. We spent two nights at Campanacci and had a delicious dinner made by the owner on both evenings. The accommodation was lovely, with local food and their own wine. We took a few bottles home too.

The views from the room and around the property are breathtaking, a dreamy Italian stay, as I say as a local. It’s an old house rebuilt in classic agriturismo style, and they’ve done a very good job. Our room was lovely, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. We skipped lunch and dinner, but breakfast was amazing: lots of fresh cakes made in-house, cold cuts, and other continental choices, all of very high quality. Better than many five-star hotels. We’ll definitely return.
