B&B La Casa di Fano

The central location is the one clear advantage, though it’s also very noisy. The room in this period building is large and has real charm, but that’s where the good parts end. It’s on the third floor with no elevator, so it isn’t accessible for older or disabled people, or anyone who finds the stairs tiring. The ensuite bathroom had a broken toilet overflow, a plastic shower curtain, and no window. The sink was outside the bathroom by the bed, with just a screen between it and the sleeping area. We stayed seven days and the towels were never changed. Breakfast was dismal: frozen croissants and plain, anonymous toast. It felt like a bad children’s camp from the 1950s. Mrs. Attilia comes across as friendly and helpful, but in fact she’s a shrewd salesperson. We booked after seeing a page about Fano in Il Messagero, written by a freelance journalist, and I regret it. Never again. We paid in advance for the full week, yet the advertised services weren’t provided: linen changes every 4 days, a sweet and savory breakfast, and bicycles available. It makes you wonder whether this hotel is operating in good faith.

Casa di Fano is right in the historic center, in a beautiful old building, and we felt at home. Mrs. Attilia was genuinely friendly and helpful, and the service was fantastic, including for our dog, who even had her own doghouse. Breakfast had both savory and sweet options. The place has a lovely mix of professionalism and warmth. We had a fantastic weekend and can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

It felt like home here. The rooms and shared areas were clean and welcoming, and the property has a lovely character. Ms. Attilia was kind and easy to reach, attentive to all four of us without ever being intrusive. The location is right by the main square, literally a minute away. It’s handy if you arrive by train, and you can walk down to the sea.

The lady was beautiful, kind, and especially elegant and classy. From the moment I walked into this wonderful place, I felt a peace that seemed to reach my soul. I came there intending to do something I’m sure God wouldn’t approve of, and being there made me realize I should think things through before acting. I loved it and can’t wait to return. I recommend it 100 percent. Marvelous.
