When we arrived with our two-year-old daughter, the owner told us children weren’t allowed. He also wasn’t very conversant. The house was fairly clean, but uncomfortable, and as a basement apartment it had neither WiFi nor phone service.

We booked two nights but left after one. They gave us a different room from the one we’d reserved, and the bathroom was too small for normal use. The little room had a strong, unpleasant damp smell that all the scented diffusers couldn’t cover. The lights came back on only after the owner punched the electrical box. An “unrepeatable” experience.

The location is a plus, though parking is hard to find in such a busy area. The house is very small, with a tiny bathroom, and getting two showers out of the 10-liter heater is difficult. The kitchen isn’t well equipped, and the apartment costs too much for what it is.

It’s a very, very nice house, but I was a bit let down by the cleanliness, which wasn’t the best. Given the low price, maybe I should have expected that.

He doesn't deserve more than that.
