The sea urchin starter was excellent, with very fresh urchins. The raw prawns and black mussels were also very good. But the spaghetti with sea urchins was a nasty surprise: those urchins were nearly black and not fresh at all, unlike the ones in the starter. When I asked about it, I was only given lies. I’ve eaten and fished sea urchins all my life, so I know how to tell if they’re fresh. They could have simply admitted they used a frozen product, which had a very heavy, unpleasant taste. I had lunch at this nice place by the sea.

The place was packed, but the lively atmosphere was great, and the service made us feel at home even though we were the only non-Italians there. We had a wonderful dinner by the ocean, with great fish, especially the mussels. The waiter spoke English really well, and the quality for the price was top notch. We’d definitely come back.

The fried potatoes were the only good thing we ordered. The mussels were the worst ever, and the swordfish was very poor. This restaurant is overrated, and I won’t go back.

We had lunch here and really enjoyed the fresh seafood and authentic flavors. The setting right by the sea is stunning, and the service was great too. If you’re after a good meal with a sea view, this is the place.

We liked it so much that we came twice during our week in beautiful Monopoli. The fish and seafood were fresh and really tasty, the food was fantastic, and everyone working there was wonderful and friendly. The location is perfect for a fish restaurant. Even after 12:00 (Midday), they were happy to make a Cappuccino, and they made it with love! 😁
