We've stayed here six years in a row, which probably says it all. The rooms are fresh and a high standard, and with only around 17 rooms the hotel feels like home pretty quickly. The staff are the best part: lovely, helpful people who'll go the extra mile. They even helped us when we were stranded in Trapani after missing the last ferry to the island. Someone described the place as having a family touch, and I agree. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but it's nice not to eat at the hotel every night anyway. There's a backyard where breakfast is served, and you can bring your own food there for supper if you want to save a few bucks. Breakfast is amazing, with lots of pastries as well as healthier options like muesli and fresh fruit. The location is great too, close to the port and piazza but tucked away enough for a good night's sleep. I can absolutely recommend it, and I've recommended it to plenty of friends.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and the rooms and bathrooms were nice. The fruit juice, though, tasted like water with sugar. The hotel is right in central Favignana but still quiet, and the prices were fair. I’d recommend it.

We were there for two weeks, and from the moment we arrived the staff made my wife and me feel looked after. Leo, the owner, was always happy to help, whether we needed advice based on the wind, food tips, or help with excursions. He’s genuine and clearly passionate about making guests feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of local products, and the hotel is a great spot, just a short walk from the center and the port. If we come back to Favignana, we’ll stay with Leo again. Thank you!

We only stayed one night in May, but had a lovely time. The owner was really kind and helpful, and our room was clean and practical. Breakfast was excellent. We also rented e-bikes right at the hotel for exploring the island. They were brand new and worked really well. Highly recommend.

The owners made us feel at home, and breakfast was a fantastic finishing touch. Il Portico was a big part of what made our September stay on Favignana so pleasant. The location is excellent, and the rooms and facilities were always clean. Winter is nearly here, but remembering the island makes it feel less gloomy. See you soon. Best wishes, Elisa & Michele.
