Villa Pirreca

Giacomo was incredibly kind when bad weather made us miss the ferry on our first day. We lost that first night at the accommodation, but he extended our stay by a day at no extra cost. That was so generous, thank you. We hope to come back! We were only there for 5 days, which felt far too short. Our family, including our 2 kids, was very sad to leave. The grounds are huge and peaceful, and the house is in very good, modern condition. It’s hard to imagine a better place to stay.

If you visit Favignana, stay with Giacomo. He’s probably the kindest, most professional host you’ll find, and he’s genuinely helpful and understanding. He’s created a lovely villa and has plenty of great recommendations. The hospitality is magnificent.

The location is beautiful, but we couldn’t enjoy it as we’d hoped, especially with no access to the sea except by climbing over rocks. Our room was described as Superior, yet it was very dark and damp, with a constant musty smell. There were noticeable mold marks by the shower, and hot water came out only in a trickle. The room descriptions are confusing. Standard and Superior rooms are in the semi-basement, not on the ground floor as the ad says. Their windows are tiny, high up, and have no view. The only terrace guests can access is far away and isolated. Only the Deluxe Room and Suite are bright, with sea views and private terraces.

We’ll definitely come back. The villa sits a few kilometers from the city center, surrounded by greenery and facing the sea. Our room was spacious and very clean, and breakfast was generous and plentiful. Martina and the women looking after breakfast really pampered us and met every request. It was a unique experience, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
