Just a short walk from the waterfalls, this lovely farmhouse made a great place to stay. Carlo welcomed us so warmly that we felt comfortable straight away. The house was cozy, heated well, and had all the comforts we needed. We’ll definitely come back.

The heat made this apartment very uncomfortable. After a day at 39°C, it was unbearably hot inside, and there was neither air conditioning nor even a fan. There wasn’t a window with a mosquito net either, so letting in air would mean dealing with mosquitoes. We were there for one night, and that was enough. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who struggles with heat.

We had a relaxing family weekend here while exploring southern Umbria. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and prices seemed reasonable. In the evenings, we loved sitting under the pergola, which screens the provincial road; you can still just about hear it. The olive trees and wide green grounds looked especially lovely at sunset. The farmhouse is well placed for Marmore Falls, Piediluco Lake, and Terni. The modern apartments are nicely equipped, though the shower hose tends to come loose and the toilet handle can stick. Both can be put right with a little care.

The house was clean and pleasant, and the owners were helpful and friendly. Marmore Falls is about a 20-minute drive away, and a supermarket is only two minutes by car, which is useful because there isn't anywhere nearby to get food. There was no Wi-Fi, and the only toiletries provided were hand soap. We also had to pay in cash.

Alice grows fruit and vegetables nearby, so you can get very fresh produce at the shop. Carlo might even show you the horses if he has a free moment. The apartments are spacious and clean, set among lots of greenery, and the supermarket is an easy walk away. It's a good base for getting around and for anyone who enjoys walks in the woods. Carlo and Alice are wonderful hosts, happy to share their home with open, sincere, cheerful people. See you soon, and let's keep in touch 😄😄
