B&B Dell'Opera

The location was good, and the person in charge was kind and helpful.

The rooms are comfortable, and the staff get in touch a day ahead so you can arrange to pick up the keys. Breakfast comes from a nearby café, where you can choose a bread and get a hot drink. The building has an excellent location.

We found it easy to get around from here, with buses and taxis right outside and Piazza Plebiscito, Galleria Umberto and Via Toledo nearby. Evenings were fairly quiet too. The room was bright and had a lovely view, and the host was warm and welcoming. We also appreciated being able to leave our bags after checkout, and the coffee, tea and other drinks in the break area were a nice touch. A few more toiletries and a more professional hairdryer would have helped. We had a very satisfying stay and would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a well-connected base in the city.

The room itself was decent, with a big bed, a pleasant balcony and a bathroom that had what we needed. There’s also a little shared snack area with cookies and tea, plus a mini-fridge stocked with water. The kettle was so poorly kept that I didn’t feel like using it. Cleaning and upkeep were disappointing: the room wasn’t properly cleaned, the bed was made carelessly, and the soap and toiletries ran out on the first day. We had to ask for replacements. The location is handy for the center, though the metro and airport bus are a bit far away. I didn’t find the area dangerous, but walking back at night wasn’t pleasant. There are homeless people and dogs in the portico, a strong urine smell, and the surroundings feel grim.
