LIDO Rooms and Apartments

The location is fantastic, just 20 meters from the sea, and even the side rooms have lovely views. The room was nicely designed, with a shower and bidet. The sheets were great, but the mattress was awful, and the cracked sink needed attention. You can hear everything through the nonexistent soundproofing, whether someone is talking next door or walking in the hallway. The service was very poor. I had given them our departure and expected arrival times as agreed, then called again half an hour before we got there to update the arrival time. Still, the place was closed and nobody was there, so we waited for half an hour. When I called about where to park, I was told, "It's back there." Then came the gate code and the door code, which felt absurd. A Christian at the concierge, right? The woman who handed over our keys was in a bad mood and didn't even tell us where to get breakfast. That's not how things should be done.

Being right by the sea and near the restaurants and shops is a big plus, and the price was good. The parking is spacious, which is essential in Lido, and managing check-in and check-out ourselves was really convenient. Everything felt new, recently renovated and clean. That freshness also made the place a little cold, though maybe the furnishings will make it warmer over time. I did miss having a reception and the chance to meet people. The staff were very helpful, even with me fumbling around because I couldn't get the heating on. Still, it's a great choice.

The location and the friendly welcome were top notch, and the building itself is completely new. But the room we booked as a "suite" didn't feel much like one. The bed was two single beds pushed together, not a double, and it was so hard it felt like marble. We woke with back pain. The air conditioning only warmed the room during the night, but we had to switch it off because the air got really dry. The bathroom radiator wasn't working at all, and we slept very badly. I went to get a blanket from the closet, but it was covered in dust. The hot water tank was too small for a room meant for two or three people. After my wife showered, I had to wait for the water to heat up again.

The parking was the real plus for us, and the beach is only 36 steps away. We stayed for a week in one of the property's rooms and had a great time. The reception staff were always available, and the cleaners worked around our schedule so the room was ready when we needed it. The mattress was comfortable, the fridge and air conditioning worked, and the shower had good pressure. The little drying rack was just right for our swimsuits. There were no drawers or shelves in the closet, though, and two shelves are too few. We'd happily come back and are recommending Lido Rooms to our family.
