T Hotel Lamezia

The location is handy for Lamezia Airport, though there's not much else around, since the hotel sits right by the highway. I found local B&Bs in the area to be great for hospitality, overall experience, and food, so I'd consider those alternatives. For a hotel with a 4-star rating, the rooms felt outdated and below standard. The pillows were very bad, the power sockets were almost impossible to use, the sound insulation was poor, and there were stains and cracks in the walls. It was very overpriced. There was no proper bar service or pool bar, so you had to serve yourself by the pool. The restaurant staff need serious assessment. Service was very poor, and some waiters were extremely rude. We were basically kicked out of the restaurant. Breakfast is listed until 10, but they start clearing away the food and drinks, and once the clock hits 10 there's literally nothing left.

I arrived this evening exhausted and hungry, but there was no room service. When I went down at 9:30pm, the bar and restaurant turned me away. I asked for a beer in reception, waited 10 minutes without it arriving, then went to bed still tired and hungry. I hope the reviews praising the service turn out to be right tomorrow!

Service was great, and the rooms are spacious with proper air conditioning and a modern look. They're nice, though not quite clean. The showerheads could use some maintenance. For this area, it's the best choice, and there's a large shopping centre next door. The downside is that the hotel is right by the autostrada / highway. If your room faces that way, bring earplugs. The rest was fine.

We found the prices very reasonable and were pleased to find more availability during the week of August 15th last year. We hope to come back soon. The rooms were clean and modern, breakfast was good, and the service was impeccable. Being close to the motorway made it easy to reach different places, and the airport nearby was a real advantage. We also really appreciated the lovely swimming pool. Even on a very windy day like this, it was a great spot to relax and enjoy some summer comfort.
