The place and its location are spectacular, but we spent three days in the separate Pecorini sea-view studio and never slept in the room. Parasites seemed to have infested the bed, fleas, mites, who knows, and days later we still had bumps all over our bodies. We told Enrico, the manager. He first apologized about the material of the sheets, then said he had the bedroom “steamed,” though nobody knows exactly what that meant. We still had to sleep on the veranda using our own things because the sheets were unusable. We’d already paid, and after that Enrico disappeared. There was no sign of compensation for the inconvenience.

The view was exceptional, and check-in was smooth and friendly. Enrico was always available and gave us useful suggestions. My only complaint is that the water gets cold in the evening, which can make a shower uncomfortable sometimes.

My reservation was cancelled by the host the day before, and in August I couldn’t find anywhere else. He didn’t help me look for another place either, beyond the cancellation itself. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The building is new and the location is magnificent. A shuttle from the port to the building would make it perfect.
