B&B Antico Cortile

We came to Milan for the Monza Grand Prix, and Angela and her family packed us lunch every day. They even surprised us with a birthday cake! The room was really comfortable, breakfast had plenty to eat, and they were always offering us more. Everyone was extremely friendly. The metro is a one-minute walk away, with quick access to the city center. We'll definitely stay with them again when we visit Milan.

The host and breakfast were both very nice, and the room was comfortable. It was a bit noisy, and the neighborhood didn't seem like the best part of town, though we felt safe. The place is close to Milan's train station and public transport, so I'd visit again for a short stay.

The room was fine and well equipped, and the metro was easy to reach, but I wouldn't return to this B&B. The photos didn't match what we got: our balcony opened onto a public walkway, had no chairs, and was only 30 inches wide. The shared area is in the middle of all the rooms, so it's very loud; if you're not up by 7:30, you will be. There was a hotel safe, but it wasn't anchored. Two days before arrival, we got three texts asking us to pay cash only, even though we had booked directly. We're from Canada, and getting foreign currency takes three days, so we already had our euros. Angela threatened to cancel our reservation if we didn't respond. We had already replied, but she said she'd forgotten. The messages came just before we flew out. I wondered if she would have cancelled us while we were on the plane if I hadn't seen and answered yet again. After a 16-hour trip, we arrived at 7:30 pm and were told we'd have to leave if we didn't pay cash. It was quite upsetting for us at 71 and 66, and it used up a good part of our cash.

We had lovely nights in Milan at this cozy guest house. The room and service were clean, tidy, and fresh. Breakfast ingredients and facilities were provided free with the booking, so we made a lovely breakfast before heading to the city center for shopping and sightseeing. The metro was nearby and took us into the center. A special thank you to the lady who runs the place.
