Claudio was a perfect host, very kind and always available. We stayed for three nights from May 1, in cozy, well-kept apartments in a historic building that’s been fully renovated inside and out for comfort. It’s a good base for visiting historic cities such as Bologna and Ravenna. On a sunny day we trekked in the hills behind the house and spotted foxes and fawns. I also ran along the river in the morning and did yoga in the garden in the morning sun. We had local food and wine for dinner at a nearby restaurant. We live a long way away in Rome, but this is a wonderful place and we’ll definitely come back.

We stayed here in August 2016 and had a lovely time. We know the area, including from when the property was still an old monastery. The children especially liked being able to walk down to the river or to the bar for ice cream in the morning. It’s easy to get onto the roads towards Frenzuola, Castel Del Rio, and beyond. Recommended for young and old.

The garden was a lovely spot to sit and take in the views of the countryside. The owner was so welcoming, kind, and ready to help with anything we needed. In the evenings we saw loads of fireflies, which felt magical and made our stay even more special. Our accommodation was spotless and comfortable, with excellent beds and great shower pressure after long travel days. The whole place is surrounded by peaceful scenery and nature. If you’re after a quiet, relaxing stay in Tuscany, we’d happily recommend it and would gladly return.

We loved the apartment so much that we added two more days to our stay. It was fully equipped, clean, and tidy. Claudio is very kind, helpful, and knows the area well. Mr. Sandro, who has lived there all his life, is a lovely man, and all the things he’s collected are unique. A wonderful place to unwind in nature, where it’s easy to relax. A one of a kind vacation, highly recommended.
