Domus Porto Di Traiano Resort

We booked this cozy little bed and breakfast at the last minute for the night before our flight home. It’s only 10 minutes from Fiumicino airport, and the staff were kind and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable, and had enough space for what we needed. Breakfast was pretty good, and there’s a supermarket right next door. They also offer an airport shuttle for 7€ per person. Try to contact them directly to arrange pickup, since messages through booking sites may not be reliable. A cab should be a last resort because it’s very expensive for a 10-minute ride. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. They only stock body wash and soap.

It was probably the quickest and best hotel stop I’ve ever had. The owner was kind enough to drive us to the town center, which is only a 10-minute walk, and recommended a lovely restaurant called Cielo. We could even watch them making carbonara from our room window. The hotel itself is a unique little boutique gem, and the owner and staff were amazing. I highly recommend it.

Domus Porto di Traiano was a perfect fit for the price, and I’d happily stay again for the warm welcome alone. The staff were wonderful, kind, and helpful over the phone and in person. The restaurant was closed, but they still offered me dinner and a glass of lovely wine for free. Fabio’s spaghetti al pomodoro fresco was delicious. My room was simple, clean, and cozy. The garden and breakfast area were cute and well kept.

After our flight was canceled and everything got stressful, we needed somewhere to stay at 2 a.m. We were exhausted, and the staff were incredibly patient and kind. They took the time to understand what had happened, accepted our very last-minute booking, and were there for us in the middle of the night. In the morning they called a taxi, and we headed back to San Francisco. I wish we could have stayed longer.
