Hotel Miraggio

The staff were friendly and attentive, and their recommendations were just right for our two-night stay. The food was wonderful, and the room stayed comfortable with its mini split air conditioner. We’d absolutely come back. They’d recently taken in a very young cat someone had left there, Miro. He was playful and cuddly, and kept us company while we played cards on a rainy afternoon.

It looks nice in the pictures, but the place needs renovating and a proper clean. Everything felt dirty and sticky. The cutlery and cups were dirty, and we even found a dead insect on a baby high chair. Really dirty!

The area is pretty, but the rooms and facilities feel run down and below standard, which made our stay uncomfortable. The walls were old and stained, there was no soundproofing, and the floors creaked. Service was fine and the sheets were clean, but that was about it. I’d only stay if I needed a quick sleep before leaving.

The peaceful setting, with lovely trees and quiet surroundings away from the city, was a real plus. It’s a nice location, and the rooms were clean and well looked after. They’re okay for the price, though not luxurious. The staff were helpful and gave good directions when I called after we arrived at the airport and couldn’t figure out how to reach the hotel. The food was okay, too. Some areas badly need renovation. Parts of the hotel look old and neglected, including a garden tent or shed that’s rotting away. I’d rather they remove it, since it’s shown in the pictures and I’d been looking forward to it, but it was in no condition like the photos. The garden chairs need replacing as well. It was a nice experience for budget travel, but with the renovations needed, I’d give it 3.5/5.
