We spent three days here, and it was well worth it. Stefano was a wonderful host, and the room was spacious, tidy, and clean. The B&B was well equipped, with good WiFi and fresh breakfast included. The location worked well for us: a short walk to the main tourist area, with plenty of amazing restaurants on this side of the river.

Stefano and his friend gave us loads of useful information. Without their help, we’d have been pretty lost about where we were and how to get to the centre, even though this was my fifth visit to Florence. We came in July 2018 expecting somewhere quiet and not too far from the centre, but it wasn’t quiet. The room we’d requested on the calmer side didn’t seem to be available, and ours faced a very busy street. It was bearable only with the window tightly shut and the AC blasting. Breakfast looked fine, but the croissants, or whatever the pastry was, were stale on both mornings. We didn’t like the coffee either; they should get a small cappuccino maker. Stale pastry is inexcusable when a supermarket around the corner sells packs of six croissants for under two euros. Also, don’t stay here if you want to eat early. Restaurants in the neighborhood don’t open before 7:30 PM.

A heads-up before booking: there’s no lift in this B&B. The building has three floors, so be ready to carry your luggage up the spiral stairs.

We had a medical emergency and cancelled two days before the stay. Their cancellation policy requires three days’ notice, and they made no exception or refund. Money hungry people! 1000% not recommended.
