Adre Majestic View

The view is majestic, and the host, based at Veneto hostel a minute away, is friendly and helpful. The room is plain and small but clean, and the shower is just a head and curtain in a tight space. It’s manageable for a night or two. You can leave your bags at Veneto before check-in and after checkout while you explore.

The customer service was zero quality, and it left a really bad impression of Florence, which isn’t fair. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful, arguing over a supposed difference between “twin beds” and “twin separate beds.” I’d requested twin beds in advance, but he didn’t want to give me that room type. After I complained to Agoda, they made sure I got a room with twin beds. The toilet is small, and don’t expect toiletries beyond a sachet of shower gel. There wasn’t even a sheet to cover up with at night. My review is about the service, not the quality of the rooms.

I didn’t feel safe and checked out immediately. The entrance had a dirty smell, and the elevator was so tiny it was impossible to use. The room door was damaged and patched up as shown in the image, so anyone could break in. I didn’t even touch the room facilities. Everything was different from the Booking photos.

I hadn't even stayed here, but the way they handled a simple request put me off completely. I accidentally booked a room three months ahead and cancelled less than a day later. They still wouldn't waive the fee, even though there was plenty of time to rebook it. I've never had another hotel or B&B treat a guest this way. It left me feeling like they'd see me as a dollar sign, not a person. Florence has better and cheaper options, so I'd look elsewhere.
