The bathroom smell was the one downside. Otherwise, I thought the place was good for the price: my room was very clean and got cleaned each day, and the host was friendly. I stayed three nights and needed a room for one. The hotel is very central, with the cathedral about 15 minutes away.

I’m moving out, thank God. This is the worst place I’ve stayed, even though the location is great. The owner keeps renting this hotel Cordova to foreign students on short stays, and the parties are awful. My neighbor and I have had to shout at them every night to get them to stop. I’ve just been woken up again by their stomping and dancing at 3:22. They seem pretty and polite during the day, but at night they’re rude, drunk, and hypocritical. They even wrote me an apology letter, but it changed nothing. Run away!

The staff are friendly and the location is good, but the room gets extremely hot and air conditioning costs €5 a day. The bathroom is cramped, with the shower and toilet in the same space. There were mosquitoes or ants in the bedroom too, which was pretty annoying.

The beds and sheets were clean, and the location was nice, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here in summer. The air conditioning doesn’t work. They said they’d fix it, then came back to say it was 30 years old and nothing could be done. You’ll boil in there. Opening the windows at night isn’t much of a solution either, since Florence stays hot and there are lots of mosquitoes. The shower is above the toilet, which is really uncomfortable.
