The area was clean and the location handy, with a Lidl, cafes, and a bus stop all within about a 10-minute walk. We had a decent stay, but two things were disappointing. The washing machine was full of dirty water and hadn’t drained, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Also, Room 2’s washroom was outside the room, which we hadn’t been told in advance and was inconvenient at night. The location was a plus, but those room and laundry issues were real drawbacks.

The room and bathroom were clean, but the location wasn't very good and the price felt high for what you get. Neither the TV nor the air conditioning worked.

The apartment looked lovely and had good equipment, but we had no idea when it had last been cleaned. As soon as we arrived, a cesspool-like stink hit us. The bathroom and kitchen sink drains, bidet, shower, and toilet were all leaking, and the toilet seat was broken. We reported it and got no response, so we spent that evening and the next day trying to clear the smell ourselves. Then the washing machine flooded the shared area, with water spreading into every apartment. We fetched a bucket, mops, and towels, but staff ignored our messages. Later the toilet backed up too, so out came the bucket again. The electric coffee maker was faulty and unusable because it kept tripping the plug. We were told that was the issue, but then why was it sitting with the other kitchen equipment? The owner kept saying someone would come right away. We never saw anyone. Now he’s trying to get our “forgiveness” by offering a bottle of wine.

It’s a five-minute walk from the bus stop, and I spent two nights in room No. 2. The room had recently been renovated, with high ceilings, mosquito nets, and modern windows that kept outside noise down. The area didn’t seem busy anyway. Furnishings are simple but tasteful, and I loved the poppy painting above the headboard. Everything was clean and lightly scented, even the mosquito repellent. The double bed was very comfortable, with four pillows, two firm and two soft. The duvet and sheets smelled fresh. The kitchenette had the dishes, appliances, and detergents I needed. The private bathroom is off the room and nicely arranged, with a powerful showerhead and a 3kg washing machine. There’s even a water flosser 🤩🤩🤩, but sadly no bidet 😭😭😭. Towels are large and excellent cotton; even the toilet paper was thick and soft. The soaps were creamy and pleasantly scented, not cheap discount-store stuff. Wi-Fi worked well, and there was a TV and plenty of outlets. If I’m being picky, curtains for the window and a light by the bathroom mirror would make things more convenient. I’d definitely stay here again if I came back to Florence. Enjoy your stay! 🙂
