The person in charge explained everything clearly and sensibly, and our three-night stay went smoothly. We were right in central Florence, so getting around on foot was easy. It can be noisy at night, but that comes with staying downtown among the bars and restaurants. I don’t understand the bad reviews, everything was fine for us. I’d recommend it if you want to experience Florence’s atmosphere.

After long days walking, we could get a good rest here since the apartment was quiet enough. It was very clean, and the receptionist explained everything clearly and made us feel comfortable. I recommend it.

I had to cancel six days before my reservation because of a medical emergency, but they still haven't refunded my money. Now they also want to charge a cancellation fee equal to the full cost of the stay. That feels very unfair, especially when I had to leave urgently because of the emergency.

We ended up booking a different hotel for both nights because we were told we had to arrive before 20h to check in. Our expected arrival was between 20h and 21h, and although booking.com said a later check-in could be requested, they said we wouldn't be able to get in after 20h. The times were listed, so they hadn't done anything legally wrong, but the response felt inflexible and inconsiderate. I can't comment on the stay itself since we didn't stay there. I gave three stars for the unfriendly communication and because they wouldn't refund either night, including the second one. Given what happened, I think a refund would have been the kind thing to do. They did nothing wrong, but nothing kind either.

I’m still shocked by what happened at “A Teatro”. We had paid in advance for two nights at the B&B „A Teatro“, but weren't allowed to stay. Problems at Bologna's main train station meant we would have arrived 50 minutes late, so I called the owner straight away to explain. He was rude and hung up on us. We went to the B&B the next day to check in, since the two nights were already paid for. The owner became verbally and physically aggressive, grabbed my arm, and pushed us out of the entrance. He was frightening and threatened to call the police immediately. We couldn't have a calm conversation with him. Our travel agency also tried to contact him about the incident and got no reply. Other comments suggest this wasn't the first time something like this happened at “A Teatro”. I’ve never had an encounter like it.
