Arnobio Florence Suites

Arnobio was a very pleasant place to stay. The apartment is only a few meters from the Duomo, but it was still quiet. The staff were helpful, and our room was spacious and comfortable.

The room wasn't properly cleaned: there was dust and stains on the wall and sheets, the toilet needed more attention, and there were cockroaches on the stairs. They didn't replace the towels or sheets or refill the shampoo. We also had no working AC, and although the hotel said a technician would come while we were out, it still wasn't fixed afterward. A bottle of Channel perfume, still in its box, disappeared from the table during that visit. The hotel wouldn't take responsibility or compensate us, and barely answered our messages. With the same code for the room, building door, and whole apartment, we were left worried about our luggage, privacy, and whether the thief might return. There's no reception, and staff were slow to respond on WhatsApp. Luckily, we booked through Booking, whose staff replied and helped us.

We'd booked months ahead, but when we arrived a couple of days ago, we couldn't get in. Nobody answered the emergency number, so we found another nearby hotel that had a room available. This place doesn't seem to exist anymore, and I don't know what's going on, but it looks like a scam. There was only a plain keypad door and no reception. Residents renting the flat upstairs came into the building and said they didn't think it was a hotel.

Getting inside was a mess. I asked days in advance how to enter, but got no instructions. We were lucky someone on the street knew the way in. The room itself is worn out, with odd, sparse decor. The street is noisy, the bed and pillows are hard, and the door has no lock. Some lights don't work, and others are wired in a way that feels dangerous. It all technically worked, but don't stay here.
