B&B Leopoldo

We found the place easily. It was about 25 minutes from the centre and 40 from the coach station. The room was decent, though there was some mould in the shower room that didn't bother me. They welcomed us when we arrived, but communicating in English was a bit difficult. Breakfast was the best we've had at a B&B in Italy, since many places just offer packaged food. There were cakes, croissants, juice, ham, and cheese, and the lady made me a lovely cappuccino.

Being near the center and public transport was a strong point, but cleanliness and amenities fell short. Our room hadn't been cleaned properly before we arrived, with dirt and dust on the floor and under the radiator, and there was visible mold in the bathroom, as shown in the photos. There was no refrigerator, and the owner wouldn't let us use the kitchen one. Breakfast didn't offer much variety, and the owner required guests to request a particular kind of coffee instead of making it themselves. We also didn't see any cleaning during our stay, apart from the towels being changed.

The place is in a nice location and the staff are friendly, which is about all the good I can say. The shower was poor and left half the bathroom flooded after each use, and there was mold in it. The coffee machine in the room and at the buffet wasn't for guests to use, only staff could make coffee. WiFi went off often, and the doors and walls were cracked and so thin we could hear the slightest whisper or movement, despite claims that the walls were soundproof. There was supposed to be an iron in the room, but it wasn't there.

We were yelled at when we asked how to arrive after 22:00. Eventually, they agreed to let us come for an extra 70€, presenting it as an act of 'good heart'. That left us anxious about going on vacation without knowing whether we'd have a bed for the night. Apparently the check-in information mentioned this, but it still isn't a way to treat a customer.
