The staff were super nice, the room was nice, and the breakfast area was relaxing. There’s also a local Pam shop, and getting to the tram was easy, which was really convenient. I stayed two days and would definitely return to Florence. One small thing, I would have preferred one large bed instead of two singles pushed together. The shower’s hot water took a while to come through, though it was better on the second day, so maybe that was just because it was off-season. Those are minor points and don’t change my rating.

We found Riva Lofts through the Mr. & Mrs. Smith Collection with Hyatt, and I’m glad we did. I’m not sure a regular hotel search would have turned it up. My wife and I loved the whole stay. Our upstairs room was huge and very cozy, the staff were wonderful, and the food was exquisite. We enjoy walking, and it’s about a 40-minute walk to the heart of Florence. The light rail is five minutes away and takes you to the train station. The hotel sits by the river, so it’s serenely quiet while still being close to the sights. We highly recommend Riva Lofts!

Riva Lofts has a distinctive boutique feel, unlike a standard business hotel such as a Mariott, Hyatt or Hilton. The grounds and suite were tastefully decorated, and it really felt like staying in an upscale European chateau. The service and people there were wonderful too. It’s outside Florence’s old city centre, which made it a convenient break from the bustle. There’s a tram stop nearby, and it takes 10-15 minutes to ride into the old city, or 30-40 minutes to walk. I had a wonderful stay. I didn’t get to try the restaurant on site, but I’ve heard great things about its food and service.

It felt like a little hidden haven, almost as if we were in a luxury tuscan villa right in the middle of Florence. The rooms and breakfast were amazing, and the staff were the best. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone after a luxurious experience.

Dinner and breakfast were fantastic, and so were the waitstaff. Laura was warm and friendly, and seemed excited to help with anything. The only downside was having to manage stairs to reach the loft bedroom, plus the walkways made luggage inconvenient.
