The wall paintings gave the hotel a beautiful atmosphere, but I had a number of problems. I couldn't find an easy place to charge my phone, and the sheets or cushions had a very unpleasant smell, though I'm not sure which. The room fragrance was overpowering and uncomfortable for me because I'm sensitive to strong scents. We drank the water in the room, then were charged for it at checkout, which felt unreasonable given the hotel price. The bathroom, toilet, lighting, and decor all seemed outdated and badly in need of renovation. It's a shame to see such a beautiful hotel kept in such poor condition.

We had room 208 for three nights, with breakfast included. The room was very clean, and the reception staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was simple but nicely prepared, and enough to get us going before exploring the city. The hotel's location was perfect. We'd stay again if we get the chance.

The rooms were beautiful and full of history, with original 17th century murals on the ceilings. The hotel is in a great part of Florence, easy to reach on foot from the station and close to the old city's main sights. The front desk staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here in April 2025. The hotel is right among the main attractions: the Duomo is around the corner, Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio are about 15 minutes away, and Pitti is the farthest at roughly a 25-minute walk. Nicole at the front desk was knowledgeable and helpful, and always offered an authentic cappuccino. We had one of the larger family rooms, with a beautiful ceiling and a clean bathroom. The only thing I'd suggest is turning on the building's AC, which wasn't working during our stay. I highly recommend this place for a visit to Florence.
