The porters and reception staff were very, very nice, but room service wasn't. Towels weren't replenished each day: if the face towels were dirty, they'd take them away without replacing them. The same happened with the coffee. There was no “Do Not Disturb” card in the room, and after five days I still hadn't asked for one. Room service kept waking us from naps. One time my son was in the room, resting because he was tired. When we were ready to leave, the head of housekeeping said she wanted to clean but had to finish because he was there. She spoke as though I was at fault. I don't know why I apologized when my son was just tired and resting in the room. We had booked two rooms for five days, and I didn't like how this was handled.

The staff were knowledgeable, professional and always ready to help with directions, excursions or printing boarding passes. I joked that the women looked like models and the men were very handsome, as if they'd all been hired from the same modeling agency. Our large room had all the essentials, and housekeeping thoroughly sanitized it every day. Breakfast was a feast that kept us going through the day's travels. The hotel is conveniently close to the main attractions, and there's even a lavenderia just over the Ponte Vecchio. We enjoyed our stay.

The attendants were classy, very nice and accommodating. We had a beautiful corner room overlooking the river, but there were no washcloths. For what the hotel costs, the amenities weren't great: the complimentary bottle of prosecco was warm, and there was no ice. There was no coffee on site either. The rooftop bar was much smaller than the picture that made us book.

The front desk team were incredibly efficient and thoughtful, and Alison, Christina and Ash were all so kind. We had a wonderful stay at the Continental, with exceptional attention to detail. We'll be back as soon as we can.
