Hotel Desiree

Breakfast was really good, everything was clean, and the service was impeccable. The prices were low, too. I had a good time and want to thank the staff for doing such a wonderful job. It’s close to the train station and right by the old town. The rooms are quite small, though the hallways are beautifully decorated.

We booked Hotel Desiree through the Bounce app so we could leave our bags while exploring Florence. It was easy to find, and the staff were great!

The location was handy, about a five-minute walk from the station, but the condition of the room and the service were very poor. We were there for two nights in August 2025 with two kids. The blanket was an old, dusty curtain-like cloth that should have been thrown out years ago. The bathroom tissue holder was falling apart, and after we asked for cleaning, the staff just picked up the dirty towels from the floor and put them back. We used all the towels, but none were replaced. The breakfast room chairs were very uncomfortable, too. So much of what they use feels like it should have been discarded a decade ago. It wasn’t worth the money or the time.

Asha was so sweet at breakfast and made sure everything was fresh and that we ate well. Mirko and his Mama run this petite boutique hotel with a lot of personal care, and the hospitality was lovely. We had a family room and found the service top notch. The hotel is close to Florence train station and within walking distance of all the attractions. We had a great stay.
