Diana Park Hotel

We spent three nights here earlier this month and had no problems. The room was nice, and the staff were friendly. It was affordable, in a decent area, and convenient for getting to a supermarket and public transport.

The location is great, with nice restaurants nearby, especially if you’re not planning to spend much time in the room. Mine was clean, including the bathroom, but very small. You basically walk in and the bed is right by your legs. The shower was tiny too, and breakfast was pretty mediocre.

We stayed for two nights and found the room and bathroom clean and spacious. The hotel’s in a great spot in Firenze, within walking distance of the museums and Basilica. Staff were welcoming, and breakfast was good. The woman at reception spoke English, French, Italian, and I think Spanish. They also helped with advice on parking and getting around.

The hotel’s location is the real plus, with easy access around the city and a bus stop right outside. The building feels like stepping back in time, and the rooms are a bit dated, though I suppose that adds character. Customer service was a problem for us. Most employees need training: they came across as blunt, direct, and at times somewhat aggressive and argumentative. I wondered if that was just how Italians speak, but people outside the hotel were polite and pleasant.
