Everything was within a 20-35 minute walk, which suited me since I like walking. There’s also a train stop at the end of the road that goes to Santa Maria Novella Station. The B&B is on the side of Firenze where locals live, and they refreshed our room each day, so it was very clean. Marco was an incredible host. On arrival he sat with us and brought Florence to life, sharing places to visit, a fantastic gelato restaurant, and the days museums would be closed. I always seem to plan those outings for closed days, so I really appreciated the heads-up. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the other travelers made breakfast time delightful.

The only drawbacks for us were the lack of window screens, which meant a mosquito bothered us at night for two days, and a shower that felt a little small for someone big and tall like me, though it was still usable. The house is outside the city center, so it was quieter than most hotels. Our room was large and had incredible floor-to-ceiling paintings. Marco spoke four languages that I heard, Italian, English, Spanish, and French, and shared details about the city and house fluently. The owners were a lovely couple and wonderful hosts. They served fresh breakfast and coffee every morning. We had a wonderful stay and I’d absolutely come back.

The building is historic, and its design keeps that character alive. It’s just beside the tourist center, about a 30-minute walk from the dome, which worked for us. The place was truly clean, and Cristina was a great host. Her recommendations were all excellent, and she took time to share local suggestions so we could experience more than just touristy Firenze. We’d definitely recommend it to people close to us for an authentic stay.

We used the T1 tram stop a lot, and it’s only a two-minute walk away. The location is a little outside the center, with a nice stroll along the river into town. Marco and Cristina were lovely hosts. We had the large character room at the front, with beautiful paintings on the walls and ceiling. The breakfast room is spectacular, there was always a decent breakfast, and Marco’s introduction to the city is worth hearing.
