The owner was so kind and helpful, and speaks English fluently. We were really happy with where we stayed: the apartment was cozy and conveniently placed, just a 5-10 minute walk from the busy tourist area. We also tried restaurants south of the river, which tended to feel more authentic and cost less than the touristy spots.

It’s a welcoming place in a good spot, and the price is reasonable. The issue is how the bathrooms are assigned: there are two rooms, each with a separate bathroom, and I was given one room and one of those bathrooms. Its window looked onto the other room’s balcony, so someone from there could see me showering if they stepped outside. I’d suggest swapping which room uses which bathroom.

The host was exceptionally kind and helpful, and even let us leave our luggage there until evening. We found the room cozy and clean, though it’s only cleaned when guests arrive or leave. It’s lovely staying right by the Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens, especially for the price. I’d recommend it, particularly to couples.
