The stay itself was disappointing too. The room was very small, the location wasn’t great, and breakfast was honestly a letdown. I’ve stayed in a lot of places over the years, and this was one of my worst experiences. I paid €300 for two nights. A few days later, I checked the same listing for the same dates and room and saw it listed at €120. I know prices can change, but that big a difference felt unfair and left me feeling taken advantage of. After I posted a negative but honest review on Booking.com, the property contacted me on my personal phone, which felt uncomfortable. I didn’t remove the review, and shortly afterward they charged me another €80. They said charges are usually for “stains” or “food marks,” though I hadn’t eaten in the room and had even been told everything looked fine when I checked out. Then I was told the “AC remote was damaged and the batteries were removed.” I’ve never heard anything more ridiculous. Honestly, it felt retaliatory, as if the extra charge was punishment for my review. It left a really bad taste. I’m sharing this so other travelers know what happened. I wish I’d known beforehand, and maybe this will help someone avoid a similar situation.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and both the hotel and area were calm at night. Our room and bathroom were very large and clean. Breakfast was included, nothing special but not bad either, just a free meal to start a long day with a full stomach. It’s not in the historic city, but the bus stop is right outside the hotel gate. Buses were a little unreliable at night, though we managed to get home each evening. If you can’t find a bus, it’s a 40 minute walk. I’d recommend taking that walk once in the afternoon, since the streets are spectacular. A very good experience overall.

I stayed here a year ago and would definitely return. It was lovely, with a very clean bathroom and a nice breakfast with cappuccino. Everyone was welcoming, and the owner and hospitality were amazing. It’s just a bus ride from the Duomo.

The owner was so warm and welcoming, and we’d happily stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. The hotel was beautiful, affordable, and easy to reach on Florence’s bus lines. Our room was cleaned often and well during our weeklong stay, with fresh towels every two days and multiple room turnovers. The shower was excellent, and dinner was incomparable.

The owners were very rude and spoke to us without respect. They even shamed us for buying groceries at the supermarket to prepare meals, since our child eats often. You’re not allowed to eat in the room, and they threaten an €80 fine if you leave even a small food stain. They tell you to eat outside on their “wonderful benches” :). If you’re traveling with a child who might want food at night, this really isn’t the place, because you’ll have to go outside.
