Giardino della Fortezza Apartment

There’s a good-looking fountain, although the water is somewhat dirty, and the grounds around it seem less cared for up close than from a distance. It’s a safe, welcoming spot where locals from different backgrounds gather. The park is central, but there’s nothing especially remarkable about it.

I loved getting away from the bustle below and seeing Florence from up here. Giardino della Fortezza has panoramic views across the city and countryside that felt unlike anything I’d seen before, and the hidden garden itself is a gem. I highly recommend a visit. It was truly unforgettable.

It’s quiet and fairly close to the train station, so it worked as a place to rest before traveling. The park itself is average, with a small lake and fountains, but the water is murky. The pavement around the edges is cracked and damaged, making it quite bumpy to ride through on a bike or scooter. Unless there’s an event or the Ferris wheel is there, there isn’t much special about it.

I love this park on a sunny day, it’s a little escape from busy Florence. There are some weird, creepy people around all day, though.
