The location was perfect for us. Homestay Ponte Vecchio is just over the bridge from Florence's major attractions, so nights were quiet and peaceful, while crossing the bridge put you right in the middle of the bustle. Of all the cities we visited, Venice, Florence, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast area, Florence was the most memorable, largely because of Theresa and her hospitality. My father and I stayed there May 22nd - May 24th of 2019, and I'm sorry I didn't write this sooner. Theresa and her husband also pointed us to dinner places where we had the best steaks and pasta dishes of our lives. And Theresa cooked elaborate breakfasts each morning: eggs, bacon, homemade tiramisu, fresh fruit platters, cappuccinos, everything was amazing. My father and I had never had better breakfasts. She made Florence feel magical for us, to the point that I actually considered moving to Florence, Italy. I'm hoping to come back with my boyfriend and would absolutely love to stay there again, though I'm having a hard time finding the place. I hope you're still up and running, Theresa. I can't say enough about your hospitality, and I'd love to return.
