Hotel Dalmazia

The patio was a lovely spot to socialize, and the hotel is near the tram stop. The lobby is open around the clock, and the staff are so friendly. Our room had everything we needed, and breakfast was good. It was a great experience and well priced.

For the price, I expected better. The location and the hotel itself don't justify the cost, and I think it should be 60-70 euros at most. The furniture and doors were old and cheap, with chipped paint on the walls and furniture. There was a bad smell masked by a very strong cheap-soap scent. You could hear every little noise from the hall and outside. One window was far from the bed and wouldn't open, so I had to open the bathroom window to get some air without the bad smell. There was a used toilet paper roll, but no kettle, tea, coffee, water glasses, or cups. The lighting was poor, and the stairway was completely dark, so I had to use my phone flashlight. One pillow was very stiff and the other much thinner. There were no blankets, only a bed cover that wasn't warm enough for autumn. The hair dryer was very old, and there were no power outlets next to the bed.

We were worried at first about the gas water heater in our room because we had never seen one in a hotel and thought it might be dangerous. We asked to move, but the place was full. The receptionist was lovely and reassured us, then came by several times to check we were okay. We ended up finishing our stay calmly. She was wonderful, showed us the city with a map, and was always ready to help with coffee or any problems. Breakfast was nice and just enough. Our clean room was spacious and pleasant. The hotel is near the tram station and about a 20-minute walk from the city center. The price felt fair for what we got, and it suited our stay.

The rooms were big, and the place was pretty nice and clean. The location was bad, though.
