Hotel Emma

The room made it uncomfortable to spend time there. The shower pressure was extremely weak, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and we could clearly hear people having breakfast, so there was hardly any privacy. I also wish we'd been told when booking that there were two full flights of stairs and no help or other option for heavy bags. We had two 30 kg suitcases, one small 16 kg suitcase and two backpacks, and had to carry them up and down those stairs several times. It was exhausting and embarrassing. Our stay mostly came down to getting in and out quickly. I hope this serves as a warning and that future guests are clearly told about the stairs, and that the facilities and services improve. A really nice hotel that offered more than I expected. There's also a pizzeeria right next door, pizz'adoro, with some of the best pizzas in all of tuscany.

The staff at Hotel Emma were kind and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful and clean. We also liked the cute outdoor seating area for having coffee. Walking into the city was enjoyable. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

The exterior balcony photo doesn't reflect reality. Breakfast was poor, with canned fruit, corn flakes and chocolate chips. There are two rooms in the breakfast area behind a door, so expect some noise around 06:30AM. The hotel is on the third floor and only accessible by stairs, making it unsuitable for people with reduced mobility.
