The pool was a lovely place to unwind after exploring Florence. Ricardo and the poolside team deserve a special mention. Ricardo made fantastic drinks and stayed friendly and attentive, making sure people had what they needed even when it got busy. Hope he sees this, hi Ricardo, it's your boy Luke! Thanks for making the stay even more memorable. The owner's daughter also made us feel welcome right away and treated us like valued guests. The hotel's views are breathtaking. I honestly can't picture a better one of Florence. The panoramas were every bit as impressive as Piazzale Michelangelo and Boboli Gardens, maybe better, and we could enjoy them without crowds. The historic architecture, gardens, and grounds are beautifully maintained and feel like stepping into another era. The hotel is outside the city center, though, so it's not for anyone set on staying right in the middle of town. To me, the peaceful setting and unforgettable atmosphere were well worth it. We'd almost like to keep this hidden gem to ourselves. We stayed five wonderful days at Hotel Torre di Bellosguardo. It became the highlight of our Florence visit, and maybe our whole Italy trip. Every staff member was warm and welcoming, and seemed genuinely proud of Florence, its culture, food, history, and traditions. Their hospitality felt sincere and made us feel at home. There was something special about the guests, too: we arrived as strangers and left exchanging hugs and goodbyes. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with authentic Italian charm. The bed was extremely comfortable, the AC worked perfectly, and service throughout was excellent. The bathroom was quite large. There wasn't a traditional shower, just a handheld shower wand and bathtub, but that worked fine and added some old-world character. Thank you, Hotel Torre di Bellosguardo, for an unforgettable stay. We'll absolutely be back.

We felt at home in the cozy rooms, and the hotel has a fascinating history to explore. The owner gave us a memorable experience too, with a private Italian cooking lesson and dinner on the estate grounds. The outdoor in-ground pool and surrounding gardens looked terrific, and the pool's views over Florence must be wonderful in warmer months. We chose this place while looking for lodging last August on vacation, with plenty of quality options around, and were fortunate to find it. It's more than a hotel, it's an estate on the rolling hills above Florence, with a stunning, full view of the city. It's hard to imagine a better vantage point. The area is safe and quiet, but not too far from central Florence. Staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful from arrival to departure. Highly recommend Hotel Torre di Bellosguardo!

The breakfast could use a little more variety. The rooms were clean, with equipment that suits a building dating to around 1200, and you feel quite special there. Staff were very nice. That view from the location is breathtaking, and the swimming pool looking out over the same panorama is amazing.

The view is perfect, the location is decent, and the staff are super friendly. It's about a 10-15 minute drive to a car park near the city center. But the room had no hot water, so I couldn't even shower, and some of the light switches didn't work. I had no idea how to turn the lights off at night. I paid around 500 euros a night. Definitely not worth the money. I should have gone to a panoramic viewpoint and stayed in a hotel with a proper room.

We went night swimming in the pool, and the breakfast buffet on the terrace was amazing. The only drawback was getting up the hill to the hotel, which is a bit of a trek, so plan ahead. My wife and I stayed at Hotel Torre di Bellosguardo in June 2025, our first time in Italy. The front desk agents had our reservation ready and were very helpful. They'd call taxis whenever we needed one. The rooms had great, authentic Italian furnishings, though you shouldn't expect the latest technology. It was a very special stay, and I have a feeling we'll return.
