Our family suite was a decent size, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. Having an elevator made getting from the top floor to the ground easy and quick. Breakfast was basic, though I've seen worse breakfasts cost more. The little ones got fresh hot chocolate, and the adults had cappuccino. It worked out really well for us. The location was great too, with a quick uphill walk to the Piazzale di Michelangelo or a stroll down toward the bridge and the historic city of Firenze.

The room had lovely decor, a comfortable bed, and the hotel had a really good atmosphere. It was easy to find, and the service was spot on. The bathroom was the letdown: the toilet was broken and the shower drain clogged. That was annoying, though it didn't spoil our experience of Florence.

The outdoor seating is lovely, shaded when the weather is warm, and you can order drinks and snacks while relaxing there with the WiFi. Staff were really friendly. The rooms were quite clean, though the paintwork looked amateurish, and there was a flat screen TV. Breakfast is included and will fill you up. It's not too far to walk to the main town square, and an amazing restaurant serving delicious food is 400 metres down the road.

The hotel grounds were very nice, and the room had a rustic feel. The aircon had some problems, but the helpful staff brought me a fan for the night. A bus stop is a short distance away, making the city center easy to reach by bus. Breakfast selection was pretty basic.

The hotel sits on a beautiful, tree lined avenue of Villas, with plenty of green and outdoor seating, but the place felt a bit tired. Staff at reception were helpful and nice, including at breakfast. The coffee there was good, though the rest of breakfast was lackluster. At least there's an elevator. A sign in it says you can upgrade for 25 euro. We wish we had: our room 6 was dark and noisy, with stomping upstairs late at night, and the toilet smelled. The mattress was very hard. It was humid, and with mosquitoes and no screens, we couldn't open the windows, so the room was a little warm. The hotel is about a mile from the center. After all our walking around the town and museums, we took taxis back and forth. There may have been buses, but without the language it felt overwhelming. The restaurant they recommended was fabulous, about a 10 minute walk along the tree lined avenue. It was an okay stay, but that smelly toilet was a real issue for me. Maybe I'm just a spoiled American! I mentioned it when we left, so maybe they can fix it or at least put in a deodorizer.
