Hotel Jane

The breakfast had lots of tasty things, and everyone on staff was so polite. Everything was very good. If I go to Florence again, I’ll choose this hotel without a doubt.

For the price, the rooms felt very poor, and the stay wasn’t worth the money. The walls seem extremely thin, so sounds from the hallway and neighboring rooms carry through and made it hard to rest or sleep. Quite disappointing given the cost.

It’s a handy base for getting around, near the main train and bus stations and within walking distance of the city center. At check-in, a lovely, helpful woman welcomed us and shared tips about local hidden gems that residents tend to know. Breakfast was decent too, with enough choice for us and fresh, warm food. The room, though, was a real letdown. I paid more attention to the photos than the description when booking, and should have read it carefully. It was so tiny that two people couldn’t move around at once; we spent most of our time on the bed because there wasn’t even a chair. There was a kettle with complimentary tea, a minibar, and a safe, but the safe wouldn’t fit my laptop. The place felt like an old little apartment rather than a modern hotel room, though the bathroom was clean. Noise was the biggest problem. I woke thinking my alarm was going off, then realized it was the neighbor’s alarm through the thin wall. If I came alone, I might stay again since noise doesn’t bother me much, but I’d choose somewhere else for a family trip to Florence.

A calm, cozy place with kind, helpful staff and a wonderful breakfast. The hotel is clean and not far from the city center, and the price felt really cheap for this quality. Parking is about 100 m away and costs only 15€ per day. I can’t say enough about how good the experience was. I’d definitely choose it again next time in Florence.
