The rooms were clean, the location was excellent, and they left us water each day. We missed housekeeping twice because we were in the room during siesta, which seemed odd since I expected it around 10 or 11 in the morning. Check-in also took about 25 minutes and involved several calls to other people, for reasons I don't know. The main problem was the heat. We visited during a May heat wave, with daily temperatures over 90 F. Our AC was set to 19C/66F, its lowest setting, but the room stayed above 78. It was cooler in the hallway, and we even considered leaving the door ajar. At one point we lay on the bathroom tiles to cool off. With the curtains and windows shut, sleeping was still unbearable. We raised it with the desk and were told someone would check, but nothing improved. As an American who often travels in Europe, I know to look for working AC, and the price and reviews had made me think we were covered. I was wrong. Don't stay here in summer if you need AC.

The AC in the rooms didn't work properly, and my friend had the same problem in another room. We barely slept, which made the next day awful. I would have rated the hotel five stars otherwise. Avoid it when the weather is warm, or you'll regret it.

The staff were lovely, always friendly and ready to help, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The place was spotless, with tasteful Art Deco furnishings and a great location. Absolutely fabulous. Grazie!!! 🇮🇹😍

The room type was wrong, and they moved my luggage to a different room without asking me. Nothing was missing, so that part was okay, but it was still not what I expected. The AC and coffee machine didn't work either. I messaged on WhatsApp asking for extra blankets, but none were in the room when I got back after being out all day. After I complained, they gave me just one blanket for two beds. The reception closes at 8:30 pm and doesn't open again until 8:30 am. Since they charge 50 dollars for contacting them after hours, there was no way to ask for more once I reached my room. I can't believe I spent every night there freezing.

We really enjoyed our stay, and Davide always greeted us with a smile. He was exceptionally welcoming, and the room was immaculate. It's a little pricier and farther from the busy parts of Florence, but the amenities and service were great. We could hear people in other rooms sometimes, though most guests were quiet. If you don't mind a bit of a walk, I'd recommend giving it a try.
