La Tinaia

This was my third visit, and I still love the place. Franco e Tina are such warm hosts that you feel at home with them. The location and the view are amazing. I hope I can come back soon.

Really good. The host is very friendly, and the bedding was spotless. There’s secure parking, and it’s a 15-minute drive from the parking area in Firenze outside the ZTL. I highly recommend it for anyone traveling by car!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and staying here made us feel part of the community around their home. The gardens were a big part of that connection. Although it’s in a suburb, it worked well as a base for visiting the city center and other places in the region. Public transport is a good way to get into the center. We were brave enough to drive to areas outside the ZTL and find paid parking in private garages. Cars can also be parked behind the gate at the property where La Tinaia is, and guests get a key (a.b.). Each apartment has a table and four chairs. There’s a washing machine, and we got to try a lemon from their garden in our cola. We also used the skottelbraai we’d brought and set it up in front of our apartment. We stayed in the apartment with an upstairs bedroom and a shower and toilet on both floors. Recommended if you want to avoid the busy center while still getting a real Italian atmosphere.
