The street gets pretty loud, so light sleepers may have trouble. Still, it’s a small, intimate hostel in a very good spot, with the Duomo in view and the station a five-minute walk away. There are plenty of shops nearby, plus a laundromat and nice restaurants. Staff were very friendly, service was good for a hostel, and the bathrooms were clean with spacious showers and good water pressure.

I gave it 3 stars instead of 1 because two staff members eventually suggested safer places for my luggage, behind the administrator’s desk or in the lockers. They were also somewhat nice and apologized for the misunderstanding, as I did too. The hostel itself is pleasant, with a good location and atmosphere, but one administrator shouted at me when I asked why the check-in hours differed from the Booking confirmation. I wasn’t ready to be spoken to that way. I was also told I could “MAYBE YOU CAN FIND YOURSELF ANOTHER PLACE” and asked “WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM”. If you arrive before 1 p.m., be prepared to leave your bags in the corridor, which they said is “usually safe”. Read the email from staff carefully before arriving, since the timetable on Booking confused me.

For the money, this is great value. The hostel is clean, central, and easy to reach, and the rooms don’t feel crowded. Beds were comfortable and clean. There’s no kitchen, though, and the street outside is noisy.

A little late writing this, but we had a really pleasant stay here. The location was great and convenient!
