We found Locanda de Medici right downstairs, and the Italian food was delicious. The staff there were lovely too, and it worked well for lunch or dinner. Breakfast was included, with a visit to the historic pastry shop Sieni each morning. We loved it. The hotel itself sits on a historic, quiet street close to the train station and the main sights. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the owner was so friendly and helpful. We had an amazing stay, thanks for everything.

The beds felt a little firm, but we still slept well. The room was roomy, and the bathroom was in especially good condition. Staff were flexible about check-in and let us leave our luggage there on the last day until the bar closed at midnight.

We ended up spending the night sitting on a chair, waiting for someone to respond after we messaged the property manager late at night about the bugs. We didn't hear back until morning. Both the upstairs and downstairs beds were covered in bed bugs, and we were both left with bites. The staff were friendly, but they couldn't help us resolve it. The response was, "Im so sorry my apologies but it is not my fault." We got a refund for the room, but there was no compensation for the trauma or the awful itching. I was handed a bottle of bug spray to use on our clothes, even though they needed to be washed and treated. A day later, we were still waking up with more bites. The location is perfect, but there are plenty of other places that are likely bedbug free.

The location was good and the staff were nice, but I didn't enjoy the room. It was cold, and although there was air conditioning, we couldn't get the loft room warm. The bed was so small it was hard for two people to sleep, and there were bugs near it.

Clean, comfortable rooms in a perfect spot. I'd recommend it.
