The only good part was the location, close to the station. Our room was under the roof, up very uncomfortable stairs that were difficult to manage with luggage, and it was easy to hit your head. The plugs were awkwardly placed and didn’t work properly. After checkout, they wouldn’t let us leave our bags for a few hours. Mosquitoes filled the room. We couldn’t sleep for two nights because they kept biting us while we tried to kill them, and the hotel had no mosquito protection. I wouldn’t come back or recommend staying here.

Lorenzo was really helpful and nice, and gave us lots of advice on how to explore Florence. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a classic design. It’s about five minutes from the center.

The owner didn’t meet us and left us waiting by a main road in 37-degree heat. We called repeatedly, but he wouldn’t say when he’d arrive, so we went to Hotel Diplomat just around the corner. It cost only a little more, and the quality was much better, with air conditioning.
