Palazzo Mannaioni Suites

A heads-up if you have limited mobility: there is an elevator, but in our room you still have to climb a step with your bag to reach the upstairs bedroom.

The location worked well for us, close to central Florence but away from a lot of the tourist spots. The room was spacious, and the AC was incredible to have in the middle of July. There isn’t much of a lobby, but we didn’t really need one. The kitchenette is nice and would be handy if you’re staying longer and want to cook. There’s an amazing gelato place right down the street, along with one of the wine windows. I’d recommend this spot!

We had a comfortable three-night stay at Palazzo Mannaioni. Our room had a two-story layout, with a small kitchenette and sitting area below, a large bedroom upstairs, and the bonus of two full bathrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just across the river, it was close to the main tourist area while sitting outside the busiest part. A couple of things bothered us. The stairs felt a bit dangerous because you have to step across the top stair to reach the closet. Also, the windows didn’t block the street noise. The small street was surprisingly loud in the middle of the night, and a few times people standing outside talking woke us up. We could hear their whole conversation. It’s a good option if you’re fine staying just outside the main area.

The staff were welcoming and waited for us to finish checking in even though we arrived late. The rooms were very clean, with clean, comfortable beds and renovated spaces that had an upbeat feel. There are lots of shops, cafes, and markets nearby, along with plenty of gelato. Palazzo Mannaioni is well located in the historic center, with all the historic sights within walking distance. We recommend it and will definitely come back to see more of Florence.
