Orcagna by MMega

We loved our four nights at Hotel Orcagna. The neighborhood was very nice, and the local train station was a 15 minute walk away. For a walk into the city centre, I’d take the river route. It takes a little longer but is much quieter. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed, a fridge, coffee maker, and a small balcony looking over the courtyard. The shower had good pressure, and the extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast was delicious.

We stayed in the fifth floor suite, with an amazing view of the dumo and a Jacuzzi. The elevator only reaches the fourth floor, and you have to climb half a flight just to get to it, so be ready for stairs. The rooms and service were great, and breakfast each day was amazing. It was hearty enough that my family often made it through the day with just some gelato afterward. The hotel is a little outside the center, which we liked because we could enjoy more local flavors.

The location was quiet, and we were glad to have secure garage parking for our car. Our room was clean, just the right size, and had a lovely balcony where we could relax. The food was tasty and had variety. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout, which made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back.

Everything went smoothly from check-in through checkout. The reception staff were very helpful, and although parking in the area is tricky, the property has its own garage nearby. Breakfast was great, though I would have liked a few more vegetables.
