The team at Palazzo Firenze by Baglioni Hotels & Resorts made our stay special. From check-in and the porters to the restaurant, room service and housekeeping, everyone was warm, welcoming and attentive. The service went well beyond what we expected. We loved the hotel's distinctive interior once we found our way around, though the layout was a little confusing at first. We also had to adjust to the fact that Italian hotels typically don't provide an iron or ironing board in the room. That's a cultural difference more than a drawback. Street noise carried into the room late at night, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. The location is excellent, about a 15-minute walk from major sights such as the Florence Cathedral. With the narrow one-way streets, walking was often more convenient and quicker than taking a taxi. Baglioni didn't disappoint. We'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

We found this pleasant hotel through Costco Travel. The location is in the middle of the tourist attractions, and it’s just over a kilometer from the train station, an easy 25-minute walk. Our room was large, with soft pillows, though the bed was firmer than we like. Taking the key out switched off the power, including chargers and AC whenever we left. That wasn't ideal during a heatwave, though we’ve seen the same setup at other hotels. Every staff member we met was cordial and helpful, often speaking better English than I do, and they didn't grimace too much at my butchered Italian. Joking aside, their local recommendations helped make the stay enjoyable.

We had plenty of room to spread out in the junior suite with our college-aged son. Filippo and Larissa were gracious to our whole family throughout the stay, and breakfast was superb. I’ll be dreaming about that chocolate cake. It was an amazing experience at this lovely Florence boutique hotel.

Breakfast had lots of variety and everything was high quality. The coffee was lovely, and the dining room had a nice atmosphere. We also had a sunny deluxe room overlooking the rooftops. Service from the warm, friendly and efficient staff was impeccable. A wonderful hotel.

We had an incredible view from our room in this beautiful palace and museum. The staff were courteous, professional and attentive throughout. A first-class experience from beginning to end. I love this place!
