Palazzo Panzani

My friend and I booked two nights, but left to find somewhere else because there was no usable bathroom. The place felt dark, dirty, and really sketchy when we arrived. We learned that the bathroom was shared with the whole floor, which wasn’t ideal but could have been okay, even though it was advertised as a hotel and we’d assumed we’d have our own. One bathroom was locked and the other was flooded from the toilet. There was no reception, and after we contacted the number several times, we got no call or message back.

The room was filthy, with grime in the bathroom and a strong musty smell. The sheets looked as if they hadn’t been changed. The lack of cleanliness was completely unacceptable and ruined my trip. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Don’t stay here. The place is old and dingy, and felt like a dungeon. I was worried about my safety, and the rooms didn’t look like the photos. The bed was so cheap and uncomfortable that I didn’t even want to sleep in it. I came to Florence with a friend, and after seeing a review from the month before saying they’d found bed bugs, we decided to stay up all night and catch the first train out. We left Florence at 5:45am.

We booked through the app and paid for a double-bed room with a city view. When we arrived, the receptionist refused over the phone to give us the door code. We complained to the manager and eventually got inside, only to find one bed and a view blocked by buildings. The management was horrible.
