Breakfast in my room, looking out at Pitti Palace, was one of the most memorable parts of this stay. It felt special, almost like a royal experience, thanks to the historic rooms, the atmosphere and the level of service. Letizia was so kind and welcoming, and always ready to help. My room was the smallest of the property's six, yet still around 40 square meters, very spacious by Florence standards, where the average hotel room is closer to 15 square meters. Each room has its own historical character and design. Mine had a big bedroom, a roomy bathroom and a balcony looking directly at Pitti Palace. The location made it easy to explore on foot. Ponte Vecchio was about a 3-5 minute walk, as was the riverside street with its many cafés and restaurants. The Uffizi Gallery took about 15 minutes on foot. I'd happily come back on my next Florence visit and recommend the place to friends or anyone after a distinctive stay in the city. Some earlier reviews mention hearing neighbors and street noise, and older-style faucets or showers. That's true, though it seems typical of historic European buildings, especially in a central location. The property is in Florence's historic center, and the building is about as old as the palace across the street. With that in mind, those details felt like part of its authentic character to me, rather than a drawback.

The rooms were beautiful and spacious, and we really liked the location. My wife and I spent two nights in the Royale Suite with our 14-month-old baby girl. Letizia at the front desk was especially kind and made sure we had everything we could need. I'd stay again. My parents were in the Imperial suite and loved it too!

The room was beautiful and breakfast was lovely, with extremely attentive staff. Pitti palace is perfectly placed for a visit, there are terrific restaurants nearby, and all the sights are an easy walk across the Arno. One thing to know if you have scent allergies: there was a diffuser with a strong fragrance. Also, as someone who doesn't drink coffee and relies on Coke for caffeine, I thought charging for a Coke at breakfast was petty. Otherwise, a nice stay.

We loved how peaceful it felt here, even though the main sights were only a 5-10 minute walk away and Piazza Santo Spirito was close by. Looking out over Pitti Palace, it really felt like we were living in the old Pitti family’s time. The rooms were simply huge, with original frescos that made the stay feel authentic. We had a fabulous time, and it’s one of our favourite hotels ever.

Free tea and coffee were a nice touch, and even the minibar prices were reasonable. The place itself was wonderful, with romantic, cool, spacious rooms and service that was friendly and helpful throughout. Being opposite the pitti palace put restaurants and wine bars right nearby, without leaving us in the middle of a busy square like Piazza Santa Spirito. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
