Plaza Hotel Lucchesi

The bar and restaurant were great, and the staff at both were lovely. But the hotel was extremely loud. For about 18 hours a day we could hear the elevator gears, doors closing and people walking around. The mattresses were very hard, and our room had almost no furniture for clothes, so we spent all three nights living out of our suitcases, one of them on the floor. The bathrooms were very small and inconvenient too. Overall, it wasn’t worth what we paid.

The rooftop pool and view are a great bonus in the city, especially when it’s hot and you want somewhere to relax in the afternoon or evening. Drinks or a chance to unwind up there make sense, but the food and drinks are overpriced and overrated, and I wouldn’t recommend eating at the rooftop restaurant. Our room was spacious, with a great river view. The staff were kind and the concierge was extremely helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose this hotel again in Florence.

The rooftop pool and bar were highlights, and a lovely place to unwind with panoramic views of Florence. The location worked well too, within walking distance of the main attractions while still feeling peaceful. From arrival, I was impressed by the elegant space and exceptional service. The spotless rooms were beautifully designed, with stunning views of the Arno River and the city. Every detail made for a relaxing, luxurious atmosphere. My stay at Plaza Hotel Lucchesi was immaculate. Highly recommend it for a refined, memorable visit. I’ll definitely return!

The river-facing rooms have great views. The hotel is well located, close enough to the action but in a quiet area, and the team running it were very polite and helpful.
