Pontevecchio Relais

The location was wonderful, right in the heart of the city, and it was quiet. The room was clean and organized. It looked a little small at first, but worked well for us since we spent most of the day exploring. The staff were very kind and attentive, and the service was amazing. The one hiccup was a distinct, somewhat unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Still, it was otherwise a top-notch stay, and I’d book again for a trip with my girlfriend.

The street outside can get a little noisy, so light sleepers or families with small children may want to keep that in mind. We were fine with it and felt it added to the Italian atmosphere. The room suited our two-night stay well, with a comfortable bed, good cleanliness, decent space, and a little balcony facing the river and bridge. The hosts checked our arrival time over WhatsApp, which made sense since someone had to come let us in. They were helpful when we arrived and suggested a couple of places to eat. A really good location and a nice find, thanks!

The rooms are roomy, clean, and nicely equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The place has a lovely old-world feel.

The location made it easy to get around: it's just before the bridge at pontevecchio and about a two-minute walk from the Uffizi gallery. You need to buzz at the entrance, then go up to the second floor to check in. They call beforehand to confirm your arrival time. I visited at the end of June and had a great stay. My room was so large and private it felt like my own studio, and the staff were really kind, pointing out good places to see and eat in Firenze.
