Porta Rossa Apartment

We stayed three wonderful nights and had a fantastic experience throughout. The location made exploring so convenient, with the main museums, galleries, and attractions about a ten-minute walk away. Our room was beautifully maintained, spotless, and had everything we needed for comfort. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made us feel genuinely welcome. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for an enjoyable, memorable stay.

The hospitality at Porta Rossa Hotel Firenze added so much to our time in a city as magical as Florence. We arrived as guests and left feeling like friends. Nadine and Antonietta were the people who made that happen: Nadine, the Manager, made us feel important and completely at ease, while Antonietta, the Concierge, always seemed to have an answer, recommendation, or solution, and offered it with warmth and enthusiasm. The location was perfect, the rooms beautiful, and the service outstanding, but the people are what I’ll remember most. Thank you Hotel Porta Rossa for such a wonderful welcome. We loved having so much sunlight in the room, with views down the street toward Piazza di Santa Trinita and the tower of the Palazzo Vecchio. Even though the window faced another building, the room’s position in the hotel and the light more than made up for it. In February 2026, we stayed in a spotless, comfortable junior suite with modern decor that still kept its period features. We’d asked about an upgrade in advance, and the hotel surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to an even better room. Little touches, like slippers set out before bed, were lovely, and the large bathroom was in great shape with excellent facilities. The staff were kind and went out of their way to help, including booking leading restaurants and suggesting places for an authentic Florentine experience. We enjoyed cocktails and wine in the beautiful lobby bar, with a cellist playing in the evening. The location felt very safe, and everything was within walking distance. We’ve stayed at quite a few NH Collection hotels in Europe and the US, but Porta Rossa is now our favourite. We felt thoroughly spoiled by the luxury, and it was a stay we’ll remember. The team made the stay feel special throughout, friendly and professional, and always ready to help. Breakfast was fresh and high quality, with a wide choice of food and drinks. Our room was roomy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom felt welcoming, the shower was amazing, and there were plenty of hygiene products and guest amenities. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, and absolutely worth it. 5/5.
